Is It just me or has the regular traffic on the T3 decreased lately? I was looking at www.game-monitor.com and it seems that the server is averaging a little over 4 players for a 24hr cycle. There is usually 15-22 people in the evenings, but somenights noone is there. CollectiveConspiracy.com is averaging 22.04 players. Is it the location (CA vs MO)? Is it the maps? Would having the first map on the server be something friendlier to smaller groups work better (Midway is a little large)? Maybe it's only the fog of memory, but when I found the server in December it seemed busier than now.

We had our ups and downs.. We used to have one server but now we expanded ourself to 4 servers... 1942, 1918, Forgetten Hope, and BF2. We are spreading ourself thinner.
We sometime have a hot server and then cold... could be because it's about time for Spring Break, everybody went to the beach.
Winter intend to be huge numbers for us.. everybody's too cold to go outside.

Is there a way to advertise the server? Are their certain websites that we can post on that will increase our visibility? Any issues on our server that could possibly be a negative to the casual player? Some that come to mind (NOT that I agree with all of these, just that some people do)
1. Lack of nosecam 2. Unrestricted basecamping 3. Inclusion of Xpack maps 4. number of players
A lot of our server traffic was driven by ZT members also. As we have started more games/servers, the player pool has been thinned out. More people playing FH, BF2, and BF2142 means less on T3.
One thing that we might look into is a limited agreement (alliance if you will) with some other clans that run BF42 servers that are usually lightly populated. Possibly shutting their server down and moving thier players to T3 for some small bit of scheduling/admin control.
Just some random thoughts.

The XPack maps are at the end of the rotation so I doubt that they are the problem (Also the servers that run SW are usually popular). I don't know how other People feel, but I like SW better than RtR.
It seems like the server is always sitting on Midway in the middle of the day. If the server empties out does it switch the map back to Midway?

yeah I agreed...
Nosecam, Unrestricted Basecamping and cut off SW and RTR.
We got numbers of complaing on those issues all the times. We got nosecam opened on T1 and Dallas FH.. why not T3 too?
Nobody like Base raping.. it ruin the mood quickly. Need to keep Base off limit.
As much as I love SW and RTR, not many members or Public players got that.
As much as T3 is popular, we cut them off for practice and tournment.. maybe need to use Dallas server for that cos T1 lags really bad.
on small note, T1 1918 is almost always empty.

no one is on 1918 much, I suggest to turn the RtR and SW maps on T1 while T3 would run the BF42 reg ones. Then, Dallas could run the training and FH. Could populate the servers?

Lately, we aim our practice sessions at servers that have the smaller population. We tried practicing on T1 last Saturday, and I had to make the call to switch to T3 because several people, including me, were lagging badly. It will just be a judgement call for whomever is setting up the server.
On a side note, Tookie told me that last saturday he was a bit miffed when all of a sudden he was kicked off of T3. I apologize for not communicating better on our intentions to shut down the server. Also, I would like to extend to Tookie a standing invitation to attend all of our practices. Took is practically a member, even though it has never been made official, and it would be nice if he wanted to help us practice. Plus, I would get to say "Fool of a Took!" more. If you are interested Tookie, send Joker your email address and we will send you the practice emails.

I would play on T3 if it would let me on. Whenever I try to connect it works until right after I load the map. Then it disconnects me and a message pops up saying "DATA DIFFERS FROM SERVER." Anyone know what's up with that? AMybe other players are having a similar problem.
Wild, I don't think that the setup of the server and the rules that we have are accounting for "...traffic on the T3 server decreas[ing] lately," which I assumed the topic of this thread to be.

I don't think we should worry about the decreasing population, everything has its ups and downs.

OK, I wondered about reinstalling something, but I worry that if I reinstall the entire game, what happens to big mods like FH? Will I have to reinstall them again? It's actually only the normal BF maps that do this to me and only on some servers, all expansion maps seem to work.

I dont think reinstalling would goof FH, but I dont know. Uninstalling 1942 might remove all Xpacks.
One thing I saw recommended just reinstalling the 1.61 patch to see if that fixes it. I believe all the maps are in it. Cant hurt

Wont hurt if you saved the FH files for download.
